The Plague Bringer?

In the comic book, there's an issue where Spider-Man is on a talk show and Electro attacks him on live television. How you want to bet nothing half that interesting is going to happen here? Oh no, what if he gives Maria Lopez the flu? The suspense!

A VERY friendly Spider Man, judging from how he's dangling there.

Today, on the Maria Lopez show, a violently ill Spider-man will vomit in his mask and crap his jumpsuit! LIVE!

I might be misremembering, but wasn't Maria Lopez a sort of news anchor/issues oriented talk show host in LA? And now she's Lady Letterman. Hmm.

And not to throw cold water on Spidey's dramatic entrance, but in this age of high security, how the heck did he get into the building without anyone noticing? Unlocked, unguarded doors? Windows left open and unattended? A frickin' skylight in the theater's ceiling?

One other thing: to judge by the standing ovation greeting Spidey's entrance, I'd say that he has absolutely nothing to fear from JJ's insane editorials.

Spidey did break into the Pentagon once without being noticed. (Assassination Plot)

But this is newspaper Spidey, whose Spider-sense only works sometimes, so I dunno...

Spidey was just on her show in Los Angeles a year ago our time, which would make it maybe a few weeks in strip time. That was during the antics of the Shocker (snicker), before their run-in with Krandis. He made his entrance in exactly the same way, too.
