Ramblin' Wanderin' Man

If only Peter knew what we knew: that his current mystery foe was in the employ of a clock-obsessed man named Big-Time. Then he'd know that this clock exhibit is probably the sort of thing to watch out for. Also, people probably think he's insane walking around and talking to himself like that. Since he's walking, people will only hear snippets of his monologue, rendering his secret identity safe, but the third panel? I imagine a disinterested man who is out walking his dog stopping suddenly as Peter bends over backwards and comments on promiscuous museums. That man with a dog is probably really confused. The only other explanation is that the fourth wall is being broken.

TIL: I like how they're setting up Big-Time to be a 60's Batman villain. I hope there's clock puns.

I think that is the 60's Batman museum, where they went from the triumph of the jade cat exhibition, to the golden clown statues, to the Diamond Penguin collection, the rare twin antiquities, the frozen artifacts of the Himalayas, and then the precious gems shaped like question marks, due to the Riddler special ed affirmative action program.

Today, fresh from being robbed by the Clock King and Calendar Man, it's the rare timepieces exhibit!

He's been randomly wandering around the streets of one of the world's biggest cities, all by himself, and somehow he's surprised that he hasn't come across Ant-Man in, what, a half day of trying? Peter gets discouraged way too easy.

Then again, he is the Short Attention Span Superhero. Probably something to do with all that TV watching.

It would be hilarious if while Peter spent his day moping in the rare timepieces exhibit fake Spidey went on a rampage in some other New York Museum, say, Madame Tussaud's wax museum for example. A panel of fake Spiderman escaping from the police with a wax Oprah under his arm would be comedy gold.

But alas, Spider-Man's world is ruled by the iron hand of fate (plot convenience and lazy writing) so the remainder of the week should be fairly predictable.
