Remember last Sunday, when the "NEXT" box said "The Wings of the Vulture"? How we were expecting the Vulture to make an appearance at some point this week, considering that NEXT box? You do? That's good. Stan Lee sure didn't.
The "Vulture" in this case is the damned movie studio feasting on the carcass of MJ's career, greedily grabbing DVD and likely SciFi Channel money while shooting down any hopes she has of making a real career for herself unless she, you know, actually tries to make a real career for herself.
And I don't know about you, but that's the kind of villain I read a superhero strip to see. Watch as Peter fights back by not watching television for two weeks!
More Evidence that Peter Parker is Dumber than a Post: The exclamation of -- what -- surprise? MJ has been bemoaning her lost career all week, and after several repetitions of the exact same plot development, ol' Petey can't come up with anything more constructive than "!"

Tomorrow's the Sunday strip, so let's see how it works out.
At the rate things are going, we'll likely just get a glimpse of the Vulture planning something.
You're thinking far too literally.

He actually just thinks she's becoming a super-heroine named "Has-Been". Her superpower is the ability to quickly fade from the public eye.
