I read that as "Even Maria Lopez has turned me on." And with "I bet Jonah Jameson's loving this!" and the face Pete's making, it didn't paint a pretty picture.
I'm not as knowledgeable on the Spider-Man backstory as most people around this site, so maybe I'm ignorant, but... Is this the first time JJ has admitted that his whole Spidey-Hate thing is a fake?
MJ seems to have snuck out somewhere between the first two panels and left a cardboard cutout of her head in its place. Peter, naturally, will not notice until it fails to remind him seventeen times that he has the flu.

What would the cartoonists do if they weren't able to draw beds and TVs? Maybe they could do some plot development.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's exciting episode when Peter says:
"I've got to get up and fight the Vulture!"
Thrill as Mary Jane tells him: "You've got to stay in bed, you have the flu!"
Be amazed as Peter sullenly replies, "Okay honey! You win!"
Hey, know what this strip really needs?
Clones.
Lots and lots of clones.
