However, the bus-lifting one is pretty cool too, I just assumed that Spidey dropped a quarter and is trying to retrieve it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-34384331409561710322007-05-28T03:59:00.000-04:002007-05-28T03:59:00.000-04:00I could live with four months of Doctor Doom inste...I could live with four months of Doctor Doom instead of a fat guy with a handgun and a plan that makes no sense.Evan & Kristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14955015574464826154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-19003609847686681642007-05-27T22:32:00.000-04:002007-05-27T22:32:00.000-04:00Those Sunday panels are excellent pieces of work. ...Those Sunday panels are excellent pieces of work. What is sad is that they have removed John Romita Sr. name from the names, and only left Stan Lee.

Also. note the quality in the art in comparision to the actual present strip. A very sad state.

As for strip size, and page layout. The original work of John Romita Sr. really gave the strip a greater scope to it. Even though the strip size was limited. But, my favorite has got to be the double sized strips that Gil Kane did on Star Hawks. It really felt that each day yoou actually got something going on instaed of dragged out limited story and art.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-32898510617860431172007-05-27T22:18:00.000-04:002007-05-27T22:18:00.000-04:00Also, according to this list, the blank spot woul...Also, according to this list, the blank spot would have been John Romita.Mike Podgorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11184333234021259878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-13703337028949656322007-05-27T22:16:00.000-04:002007-05-27T22:16:00.000-04:00The villains are:-Sandman-Lizard-Shocker-Kingpin-S...The villains are:
-Sandman
-Lizard
-Shocker
-Kingpin
-Scorpion
-Molten Man (I presume)
-Rhino
-Chameleon
-Vulture
-Kraven the Hunter
-Prowler
-Mysterio
-Looter
-Green Goblin
-Doctor Octopus
-Doctor Doom
-Electro
-Beetle

If you want, I can whip up one of those charts where everyone has a little number.Mike Podgorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11184333234021259878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-8436055215664150922007-05-27T17:43:00.000-04:002007-05-27T17:43:00.000-04:00Guy behind Robbie is definitely his son, RandyGuy behind Robbie is definitely his son, RandyAzorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03696123926748809648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36098508.post-32935640817898777012007-05-27T10:01:00.000-04:002007-05-27T10:01:00.000-04:00It's interesting to juxtapose the size of Spider-M...It's interesting to juxtapose the size of Spider-Man's eyes between the original throwaway panels and the current strips. It's also interesting to note the missing name from the byline, which presumably once read "Stan Lee/Steve Ditko". Still more interesting is the reference to the spider as an "insect", which we all know it isn't.

Can anyone identify all of the villains? I think I only recognize about a third of them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
